Comprehensive Protection Plan
The Comprehensive Protection Plan (“CPP”), which is administered by Wespath, includes death benefits, long term disability income, and other survivor benefits.
Most clergy appointed full time to local churches in the Virginia Conference are eligible for CPP benefits. In addition, Elders and Deacons (including provisional members) appointed 75% to local churches are eligible for CPP.
Highlights of CPP benefits include the following:

Death benefit payable upon the death of an active or retired participant, a spouse or surviving spouse, and dependent children under age 19

Supplemental benefits for surviving spouses
- Educational benefits for surviving dependent children (limitations apply)
- Minimum Surviving Spouse Annuity
